Contrinex has added a new transponder with massively increased storage capacity to its UHT series of tags for ultra-high temperature applications. The RTP-0502-062 tag features 2 kilobytes of FRAM memory. Capable of resisting temperatures up to 250°C (482°F) it is ideal for use in ultra-high temperature zones.
The new UHT transponder further optimizes the Contrinex HF RFID system for modern, smart-factory applications. The new FRAM memory is a type of non-volatile memory with low power consumption, high speed and long life expectancy, even under intense read/write cycling. Its 2 KB storage capacity ensures outstanding performance in a variety of high temperature applications where the UHT tag may be exposed to a range of rinsing, coating and burning operations. In such demanding environments, this tag meets the data storage requirements of even the most highly automated and customized processes.
Perfectly equipped for harsh industrial environments
The RFID tag accompanies products throughout all processes. It can store individual data, including customer requirements, directly on the product or carrier. All UHT tags from Contrinex are silicone-free and have an IP68/IP69K protection rating. This makes them ideally suited to the harsh environment of industrial paintshops. They are resistant to various detergents and can be read/written directly on leaving the high temperature zone. No cooling-down time is required. The UHT series from Contrinex, which also includes types with a storage capacity of 112 bytes (RTP-0502-082) and 160 bytes (RTP-0502-022) can be used at ambient temperatures from -25°C to +250°C (-13°F to +482°F). In addition, all components with high frequency RFID technology (13,56 MHz) are fully ISO/IEC 15693-compatible. The tag diameter for all types is 50 mm.
