About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Quality to oversee and further develop our global Quality Management System and ensure compliance with international certifications and regulatory frameworks.

In this strategic role, you will provide governance and direction for quality management across the organization, while coordinating closely with our Quality team in Sri Lanka and internal stakeholders.

This is a part-time position (20%), suited for a senior professional with strong experience in quality leadership, certification management, and regulatory compliance in the electronics industry.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System

  • Maintain and continuously improve the Group Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
  • Ensure documentation complies with ISO standards (procedures, instructions, forms)
  • Maintain the master documentation overview
  • Plan, conduct, and follow up internal audits in Switzerland
  • Organize the annual management review and track improvement actions
  • Monitor procedural compliance and address deviations

Certifications & Product Markings

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and international certifications (UL, DNV, CCC, TÜV, etc.)
  • Plan and coordinate certification and marking audits
  • Act as the main contact for certification bodies
  • Follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions

Regulatory Compliance

  • Monitor global regulations impacting the electronics industry, including:
    RoHS, REACH, POP, SCIP, Chemsherpa, Conflict Minerals, Prop65, WEEE, GDPR, CSDDD, PPWR
  • Assess regulatory impact on products and supply chain
  • Define and oversee implementation requirements
  • Manage Certificates of Compliance (CoC)

Audit & Quality Oversight

  • Establish the annual audit plan
  • Coordinate certification, customer, and internal audits (Switzerland, US, Sri Lanka)
  • Supervise handling of customer and supplier complaints
  • Review and validate 8D reports and ensure proper root cause analysis

Leadership & Coordination

  • Provide strategic direction to the Sri Lanka Quality Team
  • Ensure alignment with HQ standards and quality processes
  • Support escalations and major customer cases

Your Profile

  • Degree in Engineering or Quality Management
  • Strong technical background in electronics or related industry
  • 10+ years of experience in quality leadership
  • Proven experience managing certification and regulatory audits
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and global regulatory frameworks

Skills

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Analytical mindset with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement

Languages

  • English (required)
  • French and/or German are an advantage

IT Skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
