Featuring Contrinex’s proven Condet® technology, all weld-immune sensors are capable of withstanding high-intensity magnetic fields, and are ideal for the hostile working environments found in automotive factories and other industrial welding plants. S600 devices feature impact-resistant metal bodies and temperature-resistant sensing faces in a high-strength PEEK polymer; their S700 full-inox counterparts have one-piece stainless-steel housings and sensing faces. Both are true Factor 1 sensors, sensing targets in steel and aluminum equally effectively with no reduction in sensing distance.

With the option of an abrasion-resistant ACTIVSTONE® coating, sensors from Contrinex’s Weld-Immune range offer the highest level of weld-spatter resistance. ACTIVSTONE®, a high-performance ceramic material, forms a durable, non-stick coating on all external surfaces of the sensor, including the fixing nuts. By preventing weld spatter accumulation, this coating makes slag removal much easier, reducing maintenance costs and minimizing machine downtime.

Sensors from the S700 Full Inox family are recommended for long service life in the most demanding welding environments. A sealed, one-piece housing in V2A/AISI 303 stainless steel provides excellent chemical and mechanical resistance to shocks, vibration and abrasion. S600 devices, also with V2A/AISI 303 stainless-steel bodies, incorporate tough thermoplastic sensing faces, providing the same best-in-class sensing performance while offering a cost-effective option where the working environment allows it.

Extended sensing ranges of up to 16 mm (S700) and 8 mm (S600) eliminate the risk of collision damage – a frequent occurrence when operating in close proximity to moving machine parts. In addition, custom-designed, ACTIVSTONE®-coated accessories, including fixing nuts and mounting brackets, resist the accumulation of weld spatter and withstand frequent wire-brush cleaning, while heavy-duty PUR cables and optional high-temperature-rated spatter-resistant shrouding prevent cable damage.
