On 26th April 2013, Contrinex officially inaugurated its new, high-tech production site in Budapest, Hungary. Mrs. Annette Heimlicher, CEO of the Contrinex Group, welcomed many international guests and distinguished speakers to this celebration, notably the Ambassador of Switzerland, Mr. Jean-François Paroz, and the Mayor of Újpest, Mr. Zsolt Wintermantel.

The founder and President of the Contrinex Group, Mr. Peter Heimlicher, emphasized in his address the strategic importance of production in Hungary. Contrinex manufactures there for the global market according to strict Swiss quality standards. Expanded production capacities in Hungary therefore play a crucial role in the ongoing growth strategy of the Contrinex Group.

During a subsequent guided factory tour, guests expressed a keen interest in the plant’s state-of-the-art production and testing facilities.

Contrinex set up production activities in Hungary 18 years ago. The first factory – in just 40 m2 of rented space – provided employment for 5 people. The new production site comprises manufacturing and office space with a total area of 3000 m2 and employs over 150 staff.
